فاعلية دعم التدريس المحاسبي بمواد تعليمية  إلكترونية- دراسة تجربة لمادة مبادئ محاسبة (1)

ملخص

هدفت هذه الدراسة البحث في اثر دعم تدريس مبادىء محاسبة (1) بمواد تعليمية إلكترونية معدة على شبكة المعلومات وذلك على مستوى التعليم والاستفادة التي يمكن إن يحصل عليها الطالب. ركزت هذه الدراسة على مايجب أن تأخذه مؤسسة التعليم العالي بعين الاعتبار للتكاليف والمزايا والمشاكل التي ترتبط بعملية التعلم الإلكتروني. ولأجل إنجاز هذه الدراسة فقد تم تجهيز المادة التعليمية لمبادىء محاسبة (1) وجعلها متاحة للطلبة على شبكة المعلومات الخاصة بالجامعة الهاشمية خلال الفصل الدراسي الصيفي 2002-2003. إن هذه التجربة البحثية الأولية للتعلم الإلكتروني كشفت إن دعم التدريس التقليدي بمواد تعليمية إلكترونية له اثر إيجابي على مستوى المهارات والاستفادة التعلمية التي يكتسبها الطالب. لقد كشفت هذه الدراسة أيضا أن هناك تحسن في الإنجاز الأكاديمي لطلبة مبادىء محاسبة (1) الذين تعاملوا مع المادة التعليمية الإلكترونية. وتبرز نتائج هذه الدراسة أيضا إن بعض الصعوبات الفنية قد ظهرت نتيجة استخدام شبكة المعلومات في التعلم الإلكتروني.

An Empirical Investigation of the Relationship Between Quality Management  Principles and Innovation in Industrial Companies in Jordan

ABSTRACT

This paper reports on research, which aimed to determine the degree of application of quality management principles and examine the link between these principles and innovation in industrial companies in Jordan. Survey responses from 54 participating companies were classified into three groups: high-, moderate- and low-levels of quality management implementation. Over 60% of these companies were classified as companies with moderate-level of quality management. Descriptive analysis of the survey responses indicated that the average of innovation scores for companies with high-level of quality management is larger than for those with moderate-level of quality management. Also, The average of innovation scores for companies with moderate-level of quality management is larger than for those with low-level of quality management. Correlation analysis demonstrated a statistically significant positive relationship between quality management principles and innovation.

Financial  Liberalization and Money Supply in Jordan

ABSTRACT

This paper is an attempt at investigating the controllability of the money supply in Jordan by the

Central Bank (CBJ). Two concurrent events have triggered this investigation; the

financial liberalization program launched in the country upon the recommendation of the

International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the aftermath of the 1989 crisis, which led to the

devaluation of the currency (JD); and the recent bank failures of some of the banks in Jordan as

a result of inefficient screening of customers and lax monitoring by the Central Bank of large

financial operations which turned sour, and which led to a legal case.

In economic jargon, the paper tries to test the endogeneity of the  money supply using various econometric tests, namely unit root, co integration and Granger causality tests.

Assessing Innovative Capabilities of Industrial Corporations in Jordan

ABSTRACT

This research aimed to assess the innovative capabilities of Jordanian manufacturing companies in terms of: resource availability and allocation, understanding competitors’ innovative strategies, understanding corporate technological environment, corporate structural and cultural context, and corporate strategic management capacity. Innovative capabilities were assessed through questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed, tested, modified, and then distributed to R&D managers in these companies. Results of one-sample t-tests indicate that these companies allocate adequate funding and skills, and understand their technological environment. The results also indicate that these companies do not understand competitors’ innovative strategies. Also, the structural and cultural context of these companies incorporates mechanisms that influence their innovativeness. Moreover, these companies do not have strategic management capacity to deal with entrepreneurial behavior and thereby facilitating their innovativeness.

       يهدف البحث إلى تقصي العوامل الاقتصادية والاجتماعية (Socioeconomic Factors) المؤثرة في الخصوبة السكانية في الأردن. وبصورة أكثر تحديداً، يهدف البحث إلى تحقيق الأهداف التالية:
أ. معرفة العوامل المؤثرة في الخصوبة السكانية للأسر الأردنية.
ب. تحليل أثر عمر الزوجة عند الزواج على خصوبة الأسرة في الأردن.
ج. تحليل أثر دخل الأسرة (دخل الزوج والزوجة) على خصوبة الأسرة في الأردن.
د. مقارنة الخصوبة السكانية بين الأسر الريفية و الأسر الحضرية في الأردن.
هـ. مقارنة الخصوبة السكانية بين الأسر المتعلمة و الأسر غير المتعلمة في الأردن.
و. تحليل أثر تفضيل الوالدين للذكور عن الإناث على خصوبة الأسر الأردنية.

The Role of Tourism Development and Urban Regeneration in Improving the Economic Life in Madaba

ABSTRACT

          Planning for sustainable development of a community or a region generally aims at improving living conditions and quality of life for the people concerned. This involves the establishment of a process that generates employment and income opportunities for the present as well as for the future population. Social and political frameworks, within which economic development is to take place, are major determinants of the results to be expected.  The relative advantages of the region have to be fully understood and utilized. 

The city of Madaba has gained considerable concern by the Government of Jordan in general and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in particular. This concern has appeared because Madaba has major historical, religious, cultural, and medical values.

A survey based on a questionnaire will be carried out in the city of Madaba to provide the study with information useful on various aspects of the status quo of the social and economic conditions in city of Madaba. The focus of this questionnaire will be on the following objectives: (1) collecting background information on the respondents, such as income, profession, family size, and description of building status, (2) general perception of community problems, (3) the extent of household awareness of the need for urban regeneration and tourist development, (4) the attitudes towards the households’ willingness to cooperate with and support the proposed project, (5) public perception and satisfaction regarding the social services provided, and (6) investigation of vision  for the future of Madaba.

Improving the standards of living for Madaba's residents, Madaba's growth and its development depend to a large extent on the improvement of infrastructure, combating poverty; create jobs, urban regeneration, and activation the influential role of human elements.
